Enhancing Dental Collaboration: Modern Digital Communication Between Dentists and Technicians
Lecture up to 1 hour
Esthetics/Cosmetic Dentistry, AGD Subject Code 780
Digital dentistry is rapidly advancing in our profession. Though this technology is incredible, it also may come with quite a learning curve and some significant investment. In order to justify these costs we must first develop systems that both bring patients to our offices and increase case acceptance. As clinicians we must have an understanding of how to assess which of these technologies will improve the quality and flow of the dentistry we provide, and be worth the investment. Can a practice truly be completely digital today? What are some of the challenges and shortcomings of this technology? In this discussion Andrew Skasko and Pinhas Adar will present marketing strategies, consultation flow and case acceptance tips as well as failures and successes in their daily use of technology such as social media, digital scanning, AI smile design and video analytics, as well as 3D facial scanning.
Upon completion of this session, the attendees should be able to:
-
Understand the importance of a consistent flow when enrolling a patient for comprehensive care and experience how to maximize the likelihood of case acceptance during the patient enrollment and consultation process.
-
Understand the key players of the team and their particular roles and responsibilities throughout the case evolution process.
-
Implement a systematic digital workflow to simplify case presentation, planning, and performance.
-
Identify the limitations of digital technologies through challenges and failures.
-
Understand how the creation of a fluid digital workflow can be a win for the dentist, patient, technician, and team.
