Tooth wear is often overlooked in both undergraduate education and clinical practice. Yet it is the 3rd most common pathology after caries and periodontal disease. Dr Lisa Germain review current science and clinical practice for assessing tooth wear, including both simple and complex etiologies and new diagnostic criteria.
Using a simple decision tree to evaluate physiologic from pathologic wear, she will review the application of digital monitoring and tools to assess active or historical wear.
Upon completion of this session, the attendees should be able to:
- Understand tooth wear and it’s differentiation.
- Understand medical comorbidities in tooth wear diagnosis.
- Utilize digital evaluation and monitoring tools.
Dr Shepperson receives financial and/or product support from Ivoclar and 3Shape.
